Illinois' Unemployment on the Rise

ILLINOIS - Illinois' unemployment rate is on the rise.
A total of 9,600 jobs were added across the state in August, but the unemployment rate rose slightly from 8.9% in July to 9.1% last month.
6,700 more Illinoisans were reported as unemployed last month.
Experts believe that increase could, in part, be due to people renewing a search for work after previously giving up.
The director of the Illinois Department of Employment Security is concerned about the job outlook in the coming months.
