Caterpillar Announces Additional Temporary Layoffs

Caterpillar announced additional rolling layoffs Wednesday at its East Peoria facility. Caterpilllar spokesman Jim Dugan tells WMBD 31 News there will be some additional one week shutdowns for part of the components business in East Peoria. Dugan says the temporary layoffs would be a week in November near the Thanksgiving holiday and another week in December before the Christmas holiday.
