PEORIA- You see those little red kettles everywhere during the holidays, the Salvation Army wants you to know they're online too.
The service organization is expanding its online efforts in order to reach you. You can now help the Salvation Army raise money online and learn how you can help out.
Leaders say they're hoping to draw in a younger crowd this year.
"We're finding some younger people, trying to engage younger people, to serve on our boards. And serve on some of our committees. They basically come to us and said hey, this is how we communicate. We communicate online, we communicate email, Facebook, and Twitter," said Rich Draeger.
The army is asking you to "like" it and follow it on Facebook and Twitter, it's handle is @salarmypeoria. It's also looking for more bell ringers.
