The Peoria Chiefs Will Become St. Louis Cardinals Affiliate

PEORIA - The Peoria Chiefs have a new affiliation and it's a familiar organization.
The Chiefs announced this morning they have agreed to a four year deal with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Chiefs were an affiliate of the Cardinals from 1995 to 2004. The Chiefs made the playoffs four times during that stretch including winning the Midwest League Championship in 2002. Former Chiefs that have played in Peoria under the Cardinals include, Albert Pujols, Yadier Molina, Dan Haren, Rick Ankiel, Placido Polanco, Coco Crisp, Jason Motte, Chris Duncan, Jack Wilson, Pablo Ozuna and Chris Narveson.
An official press conference is scheduled for Tuesday, September 25th at Peoria Chiefs Stadium.
