EAST PEORIA- A new hotel could possibly make its way to East Peoria.
Tuesday, the city approved a purchasing agreement with developer Intermountain Management for the lot adjacent to Granite City. The developer wants to bring extended stay hotel, TownePlace Suites, to the location. Tuesday's approval set forth the terms for the developer to purchase the land, commonly known as Lot 2.
The hotel would include 107 rooms. The estimated construction cost would be at least $9 million.
