Uptown Station Work Delay to Cost $30K

NORMAL--Work on Uptown Station is running behind, and it's costing the town thousands of dollars.
While the transportation center is operational, there's still some minor work to be done.
Last year material and labor delays pushed back some of the final details.
Monday, leaders extended their contract with the construction management fri so it can finish the job.
The added cost is about $30,000 dollars.
The money comes from an account set aside for the project.
Leaders say it could take a year to finish work on Uptown Station.
