New Crime Stats Out for Peoria

New crime statistics out Monday indicate murders in Peoria are down from a year ago but crimes such as robbery and assault have increased from a year ago. Murders are down 20 percent compared to last year but criminal sexual assaults are up 15 percent, robberies are up 29 percent, and aggravated assaults are up 21 percent. Burglaries are up 4 percent while thefts are down 3 percent.
