The Better Business Bureau in downtown Peoria says there's been an increase in robo-calls lately. They take hundreds of calls a day and expect the number to continue to rise. The BBB says they're doing everything they can to find the source of the calls. They say newer technology is making it harder to identify them.
The BBB advises people who receive robo-calls to hang up the phone immediately, call the BBB or Federal Trade Commission and file a complaint and most importantly never give any of your personal information out.
