MORTON -- Two students in Morton are putting a helpful twist on their school project.

Katie Adams and Mollie Krueger are behind a benefit today for Dylan Bailey.

Bailey was diagnosed with cancer last year, and this summer doctors amputated his leg to remove a tumor.

The girls knew Bailey was athletic, so for their project they decided to raise money to help get him a prosthetic leg for sports.

"He's been with us since Kindergarten... we're like family, all of our class because we only have 24. So we've been with each other forever," Adams and Krueger said.

The girls had three thousand dollars going into the benefit - they're hoping to reach at least five thousand.
