PEORIA- Questions of international relations, following recent events in Libya, were raised at Bradley University Wednesday night.
International human rights lawyer and author, Arsalan Iftikhar spoke to students and faculty on its impact on American - Muslim relations.
Iftikhar is a regular commentator on National Public Radio and CNN on international issues. He says relations will only improve if citizens interact instead of relying on government officials.
Iftikhar stressed these actions reflect the ideas of a few.
"Muslims and Arabs don't want the vast majority of Americans to believe that all Muslims and Arabs condone or applaud what happened in Libya. In fact, we're horrified and condemn it in the strongest term possible," he said.
He says Tuesday's event is just one of many road bumps in the aftermath of the Arab Spring movement.
