A Dunlap teacher has resigned after inappropriate material was found on his computer. Last Friday the school administration was notified about the material. After investigating, the school found video clips, from the current school year, taken with camera angles from the floor up in an attempt to view the clothed private areas of students. Tonight the Dunlap Superintendent released a statement saying,
"We are deeply troubled by the incident and obviously concerned about student safety and privacy.
This individual was administered the required background check prior to employment in which no criminal record was found. In addition, has maintained a clean employment record giving the district no way to anticipate these deviant actions."
A report from the Peoria County Sheriff's Office has been turned over the State's Attorney for further investigation.
