Accident Sends Man to Hospital

PEORIA COUNTY - Accident sends one man to the hospital.
The Peoria County Sheriff's Department says John Picco was attempting to turn on to Mapleton Rd. when his Chevy pickup truck was struck by a semi.
Picco suffered head injuries and was taken to O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center for treatment.
He was ticketed for failing to yield to the semi.
