Body Found in Field That of Missing Woman

EDELSTEIN- The body found in a field Tuesday belongs to Tashyra McDowell, the same woman who was reported missing, as confirmed by the Peoria County Coroner.
McDowell was last seen by family and friends on September 7th.
Her seven-year-old son was found alone in the 1800 block of North New York in Peoria Monday morning. He wasn't able to explain where his mother had gone.
McDowells body was found by a farmer around noon, he was the one who made the 911 call that alerted police.
"The best way I would describe the operator of the combine is very upset and praying for the family of this person found in the field today," Ingersoll said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
