Peoria Gas Prices Drop 3 Cents a Gallon

By: Bob Larson
Updated: September 10, 2012
PEORIA- Average retail gasoline prices in Peoria have fallen 3.6 cents per gallon in the past week, according to a release Monday from PeoriaGasPrices.com. Prices were 17.6 cents per gallon higher than the same day a year ago and 5.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says the oil industry is still bringing capacity back online but supply remains tight as well as we approach the transition to winter spec gasoline. DeHaan, however, believes prices will start to decline towards the end of September.
