BLOOMINGTON - The Twin Cities had a strong showing for the second ever Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure" at State Farm Corporate South Saturday.
The race brought out 2,200 people to walk and run in support of breast cancer victims and survivors.
Together they raised about $138,000 for research, treatment and educational outreach.
However, that number is not set in stone since donations are still being tallied. But so far it is close to last year's fundraising total.
As for attendance, this year saw about 200 fewer participants than 2011, the inaugural year for the event.
