A Peoria teenager was sentenced Friday to 21 years in prison for a 2009 bank robbery at South Side Bank on Southwest Adams. Deonte Moore, who may be the youngest person ever charged with a bank robbery in Peoria County and whose conviction of the robbery at age 13 was overturned last year, was found guilty again of the same crime during a stipulated bench trial. The case was overturned by the Illinois Appellate Court claiming he shouldn't have been tried as an adult. The stipulated bench trial is a legal procedure which will allow Moore to appeal his conviction.
