A Peoria mom pleaded guilty Friday to child abduction for an incident which triggered a statewide amber alert. 19 year old Nyway Abbaa, the non custodial parent, faces up to two years in prison when she's sentenced October 11th. Police say Abbaa grabbed the children, one year old Moriah Milan and two month old Audermare Peterson from a counseling and family service facility in Peoria and fled to Minneapolis. Authorities say King Peterson was with Abbaa when she left Peoria. An officer spotted Nyway's car in Minnesota and apprehended her and took the children into protective custody. Peterson, the father of of the youngest child, was acquitted of all charges just a few weeks ago.
