PEORIA- With heavy focus on the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, it can be hard to figure out if either side is sticking to the facts.
Bradley Political Science Professor, Josh Ryan said if people hear contradicting statements from candidates, they should check it out. He said it's important to seek out information to be an informed voter.
Ryan said one simple thing voters can do in the coming weeks is be mindful of political ads on T.V.
"And what they'll do commonly is they take something out of context, they misrepresent something on purpose, that's dishonest," Ryan said.
Ryan says there are a few good websites people can go to to fact check, one of them is www.factcheck.org
