PEORIA- Northwoods Mall hosted the 44th annual Tri-County Tropical Fish Show.
Shoppers could stop by to look at the brightly lit tanks. Each one was filled with tropical fish of different sizes and colors.
It's a hobby for most folks involved. Event Chairman, Roger Halleen has 18 tanks himself. He said he likes being able to put his fish on display.
"Most people know tropical fish, a lot of people have one or two aquariums. They can come out, see what's available, they can talk to us about joining our club, become a little more interested in it," Halleen said.
The Tropical Fish Society meets once a month. It will host an auction in October where people can come bid on fish and equipment.
