A bench trial began Thursday for a LaSalle teenager, one of two teens charged with torching the old Westclox clock factory building last New Year's Eve. The 17 year old is charged with aggravated arson. Only one witness testified, a fireman who was injured fighting that fire. He was allowed to testify early since he is moving out of the state. The trial will resume September 20th. The teenager faces from 6 to 30 years in prison if convicted. A Peru teen, also charged with the crime has already been sentenced for his role in the arson.
