PEORIA - A Peoria man is facing first degree murder charges.
27-year-old Alex Ferguson is in jail on $1 million bond. He's accused of killing 23-year-old Dwight McCall.
McCall suffered a gunshot wound and died at the hospital Friday, marking the city's eighth homicide of the year.
Police responded to the 1800 block of W. Butler around 10:30 p.m. for a large fight.
That call turned into shots fired. Witnesses helped officers find and arrest Ferguson.
Authorities aren't saying specifically what led to the shooting.
