Body Found Inside Burning Home

PEKIN - Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating a mysterious house fire in Pekin.
It started around 12:30 a.m. Sunday at 13999 Towerline Rd.
Firefighters were trying to put the flames out when they found a body inside the house.
Very little information is being released to WMBD 31. We don't know who the person is, how they died or what caused the fire.
Authorities refused to let our crew get footage of the scene Sunday as well.
The Tazewell County Sheriff's Department, Illinois State Fire Marshall's Office and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit are all assisting with the investigation.
