BLOOMINGTON--The city is considering a new kind of liquor license for local businesses.
It's called an "e" entertainment license, and would bridge the gap between eateries and area bars.
Instead of requiring a restaurant or a tavern license, "E" Entertainment could apply to places like music or comedy clubs--including Gat's Jazz Cafe downtown.
City council shot down the owner's request for a liquor license last night.
But some say, the "E" license could have different rules, allowing more places to set up shop.
