A Peoria man, one of eight people arrested in connection with a meth crackdown, was sentenced Monday in Peoria federal court to life in prison, according to court officials. 26 year old Michael Crump was one of four men who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to make and distribute meth. Just last month, 23 year old Patrick Stone was given a similar life sentence for the same crime. They were rounded up in Operation Copperhead which focused on drug crimes in Tazewell County.
