Hospital Treats 70+ for Heat-Related Illnesses

PEORIA - At least one hospital is staying busy with heat-related illnesses.
OSF St. Francis Medical Center says 71 total patients have required treatment because of the heat.
The patients were tallied between June 25 and July 5.
More than 30 had to be admitted. Many of those were older than 70.
Four were pediatric, and 38 were over 50.
Our Twin Cities news partner, WJBC-AM, reports OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington has seen no increase in patients during the heat wave.
