PEORIA- One hundred-thirty teams tried to dodge the rain Saturday to compete in the 5th annual River City Bags Classic.
The classic is the largest bags tournament in the area, wiith players from as far away as Ohio, Kentucky and Oregon. The winning team took home a $1,000 prize.
During the past four years, the tournament has racked up $70,000 in entry fees. The goal this year was $15,000, which will go to the Boys and Girls Club.
Jeff Badorek said he came out because it's a great cause and a fun way to raise money.
"I mean, how many games, professional games can you play with a beer in your hand?" Badorek said.
Despite the rain organizers said they're happy with the turn out and are looking forward to next year's tournament.
