PEORIA COUNTY- Ninety-two golfers teed off for a cause Friday.
The Arrowhead Country Club hosted the 15th annual Big Brothers Big Sisters golf tournament. The money raised at the tournament will go towards helping the more than 300 Little Brothers and Sisters in the Peoria area.
This is one of two major fundraisers the organization has every year. Executive Director Jeff Parmenter said the money they raise makes a big difference.
"With the down economy the last couple years and the ability to raise funds raise, it's much needed. And the folks that come out are very generous and help us with the program. There's folks that have golfed in our event 13, 14 years," Parmenter said.
