One of two Peorians, indicted in connection with a year old shooting and holdup, was sentenced to 22 years in prison Friday. A jury found 21 year old John Carter Junior guilty of armed robbery but NOT GUILTY of aggravated battery with a firearm. Those charges stem from an incident at Gyros and More on Peoria's south side. The second defendant in this case, 21 year old Tyshontis Campbell is back in court July 20th. Police say two employees were held up and shot but were not seriously wounded.
