PEORIA-Peoria Congressman Aaron Schock is criticizing President Obama ahead of his planned speech on the economy.

Schock spoke to the Mclean County Chamber of Commerce this afternoon.

He says Obama isn't recognizing the challenges the private sector is facing.

Schock says the President spends too much time working on the public sector.

Peoria Congressman Aaron Schock said,"We got to have a president that recognizes the private sector is not doing fine. We got to have a president that understands the amount of regulation and red tape coming out of Washington D.C. has to slow down if we're going to get people to hire. So I'm hopeful he proposes some new ideas continuing down the same path is not going to work."

The President will deliver tomorrow's speech in Cleveland
