No Shutout But Chiefs Sweep Kernels

WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill. -- Wes Darvill tripled home the go-ahead run in the sixth inning as the Chiefs beat Cedar Rapids 4-2 Friday night at O'Brien Field to complete a three-game sweep of the Kernels.

Chiefs pitchers ran their scoreless streak to a franchise record 29 and two-thirds innings before Frazier Hall's third inning solo homer give Cedar Rapids its first run of the series. Peoria had three shutout wins in a row entering the game.
