Cherry Tacos at Washington Cherry Festival

WASHINGTON-Tacos and cherries, two
things that don't normally go together.
Unless you're in Washington, Illinois,
where cherry tacos are the staple of the cherry festival!
The festival kicked off earlier
this week and the fun continues all day tomorrow.
You can find rides, games, live
music, crafts, a chili cook-off and all things cherry.
All of the action is happening in
Washington.
And event organizers say it's an even you don't want
to miss.
Cherryfest Chairperson, Marcia
Bragg said, "It brings families together. They sit out in lawn-chairs,
grandmas, grandpas with their grandkids and it's just a family event."
Tomorrow's festivities kick off
with a pancake breakfast from 7a.m. until 11 a.m.
Cherry Fest wraps up with a performance from the
band, Cadillac Jack, starting at 7 p.m.
