Two Peoria Shootings Leave One Dead- One Wounded

Peoria Police are investigating two shootings which occurred within minutes of each other. The latest homicide victim is 26 year old Almarty Grant who was gunned down in the 400 block block of Western. Court records indicate Grant had served prison time for a 2005 weapons charge and jail time for a 2007 drug charge. He was shot just minutes after 29 year old Edward E. Jackson was also shot in the 1800 block of Butler. No word on Jackson's condition. Anyone with information is asked to call Peoria Police at 673-4521 or Crime Stoppers at 673- 9000.
