PEORIA--Graduation is just around the corner, but the future for three Peoria High School basketball players might not be as bright.
Thursday, police arrested three members of Peoria Central's state championship basketball team.
18 year olds Aldonis Foote, Kevin Jordan and Jerrell White were booked for allegedly attacking a nineteen year old outside his home in April.
The arrests were made shortly after Foote and Jordan signed basketball contracts to play at Moberly Area Community College in Missouri.
Authorities say the victim, Derrick Parker says, he was targeted by the three last month because they thought he liked the same girl as Aldonis Foote.
The three are free on bond tonight awaiting formal charges and were given notices to appear in court June 13th.
Meantime, Moberly Area Community College Men's Basketball Coach says he's shocked by the news.
The athletic department is waiting for the legal process to play out before taking action on the issue.
