WASHINGTON-Parents are
taking action for their teens safety.
A dozen parents and
teachers met tonight at the five points center in Washington.
Presentations and group
discussions were held on the latest drugs, teens are using today.
They looked at why teens
feel like they are invincible at this age and why they decide to take drugs.
The group also
discussed drugs teens are able to buy over the internet.
Parents felt that being more up to date
will help them stop teen drug use at the early stages.
Drug Awareness Presenter, Rene Sandoval
said, "Making people aware that this is something is extremely dangerous. There's
no regulation to the synthetic compounds that are being used and you don't know
the potency.
Parents walked away
with a stronger sense of how to catch early signs of drug use.
They felt more prepared on spreading the
word to stop drug use among teens.
