OTTAWA-The family of a missing man from Ottawa is pleading for the public's help.

36-year-old Chris Strobel is a married father of two.

He vanished from downtown Ottawa a week ago tomorrow.

Police and volunteers have been aggressively looking for him on land and on water.

But they've turned up very little so far. Strobel's family tells us they're not giving up hope.

They say he was on top of the world and has plenty to live for. They want anyone who knows anything to come forward.

Chris' father, Rick Strobel said, "I just want to thank everybody who has helped. it has been unbelievable. please stay positive. we haven't lost hope."

Police say foul play is not suspected, but can't be ruled out. A $5,000 reward is available for information leading to Strobel.

You can also call Ottawa police at 815-433-2131.
