WMBD 31 News has learned Peoria County authorities have, what they call, a person of interest in custody in the death of a Dunlap High School student.
Peoria County sheriff's deputies arrested a 45 year old man for possession of a controlled substance.
The sheriff's department tells WMBD News the man they arrested is a person of interest in the death of 16 year old Joshua Olt who was found unresponsive at his parents home Sunday afternoon.
Olt was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The department would not elaborate on exactly how this man may be connected to the death of Olt.
So far, Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll has said Olt's death is under investigation pending the results of toxicology tests, which should be completed in two weeks.
WMBD 31 will have more on this development as information becomes available.
