Illinois could become the tenth state in the country to ban cell phone use by drivers while driving but a vote in the Illinois Senate was postponed late Tuesday. The bill, which has already passed the Illinois House, would require motorists to put down their phones when they get behind the wheel. Drivers could still use a mobile phone if it's hands free. Illinois already bans texting while driving and restricts use of cell phones in school and work zones.
