NORMAL--A plan to put sidewalks around a rural neighborhood could help more Unit Five students get to school.
The town council will vote Monday night to sell a portion of the Vineyards subdivision to a different developer.
The area is currently owned by State Senator Bill Brady and his two brothers, but faced foreclosure last year.
As part of the contract the new buyer has agreed to put sidewalks across from Grove Elementary on Airport Road and near Normal Community High School on Raab Road.
If approved, the sidewalks could be in by summer.
