PEORIA- A Peoria hospital is helping people remember children who have left us too soon.
The Children's Hospital of Illinois held a memorial service Sunday at Luthy Botanical Gardens.
Anyone was welcome who's been impacted by the loss of a child. A memorial path was available for the guests to walk on so they got time to themselves to grieve.
Jeanne Perino, neonatal nurse practitioner at CHOI, says it's important these children are never forgotten.
"This gives them an opportunity to actually acknowledge the child. Because someone told me a long time ago, it's every parents wish that there child be remembered," Perino said.
More than twenty families went to the service
