PEORIA- The Peoria Public Library System turned an important page today.
The Lakeview Branch celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
It's the final phase of $28 million, system-wide building program that started five years ago. The new layout features a new design, more computers and meeting rooms.
Branch manager Jenny Sevier says she's excited to show it all off.
"We're really excited about it. Previously, the walls were all white. There was no color in here. It was real institutionalized carpet. And just the difference in the new desks and furniture. It's wonderful and we're really excited.," said Sevier.
Everything hasn't been unveiled just yet. Sevier says expect to see many new programs announced soon.
