A bill, which has already passed the Illinois House to charge entrance fees to state parks was postponed Thursday in the Illinois Senate. The bill would raise money to improve many of the state's parks which have fallen into disrepair because of the state's fiscal problems. Under terms of the proposed measure, the state would charge annual fees for vehicle stickers to get into the state parks and daily admission fees for those without annual passes. The governor backs the proposal.
