NORMAL--Elementary students
in McLean County will begin their day a little later next year.
The board approved to delay
the schools' start time by 15 minutes, Wednesday night.
Currently, elementary
students begin the day at 8:30 and end at 3:15.
Now they'll start at 8:45 and
end at 3:30.
Unit 5 Superintendent, Gary Niehaus said, "Putting that extra fifteen minutes in
does get the buses there on time and therefore kids will get home on
time."
High school and middle school
start times will stay the same next year.
