Morton Factory Erupts in Flames

MORTON--Hundreds of employees are wondering when they'll return to work after a massive fire destroyed a portion of their factory.

It happened just before nine this morning in the 900 block of Detroit Avenue at Bradley Services Incorporated.

Firefighters are still on the scene.

Flames were shooting out of the building when crews arrived this morning.

The welding and fabrication company employs about 170 people.

Management says everyone did get out of the building, and some software was salvaged.

Employees say they're thankful to be safe.

But they worry when and if they'll be able to return to work.

"I have bills to pay, and I have a little girl and stuff," said BSI employee Kyce Purifoy.  "I don't now.  I just, I need income you know?"

"I have a wife and three boys at home, so having a family...you worry about that kind of stuff," added BSI employee Nathan Boynton.

A cause has yet to be confirmed, but we're told it could be electrical.
