Pekin's West Campus Prepped for Demolition

PEKIN - Pekin's West Campus is being prepped for demolition.
Construction equipment was moved onto the site Tuesday. The City of Pekin says the building's owner plans to take down the newest part of the campus first.
Local activists are fighting to save West Campus. The Pekin Main Street orgnization is hoping the building is named one of illinois' Top Ten Most Endangered Historic Sites.
The designation would not force the building's owner to stop demolition.
