Bradley Wins First Valley Series

WMBD/WYZZ TV - PEORIA - Ryan Curry crushed a three-run homer in the first and Bradley kept the bats hot all day Sunday in a 14-4 win over Southern Illinois. The seven-inning victory gave the Braves their first Missouri Valley Conference victory of the season.
In other action, Wichita State beat Bradley 13-4 in softball. Amanda Clack homered for the Braves.
Ryan Copeland pitched six scoreless innings to lead Illinois State baseball to a 3-0 win over Evansville.
Severe weather forced the Redbird softball team to its first tie since 1992, a 1-1 final at Creighton.
Grant Campbell scored a goal for the Bradley soccer team in its exhibition match with Northwestern.
