Chiefs Sweep Lake Michigan, 3-0

WMBD/WYZZ-TV - MIDLAND, MICH. The Peoria Chiefs must like playing on the road better than at home. The Chiefs beat Lake Michigan 3-0 Friday to complete a 4-game road sweep of the Loons. Seven of Peorias eight wins this season have come away from home. Jose Ceda pitched six innings to get the win. Reliever Rocky Roquet earned a 2-inning save, his third of the season. Peoria pitchers allowed just two earned runs in the series. Wellington Castillo had an RBI single in the first and a solo homer in the third. Yusuf Carter homered in the ninth to complete the scoring. The Chiefs (8-5) play at Kane County Saturday.
