NORMAL - Getting called to the principal's office can mean trouble.
But that's sometimes a different story at Normal Community High School. And it's what makes it this week's "Cool School."
Every Thursday morning, the N.C.H.S. Spirit Club "Orange Crush" surprises a group of teachers and students.
Their names are read over the intercom. Then they come to the principal's office and get Orange Crush soda and orange pom-poms.
The entire process is called "Getting Crushed." One senior who was surprised this Thursday says it's lifting spirits across the school.
"I think that it's making everyone try harder in class and then also be more school spirited and enjoy their time in high school," says Kayla Koenig.
Ironmen are also getting the chance to guess the score of Friday night's big game against cross-town rivals, the Normal West Wildcats.
