WMBD/WYZZ-TV - NORMAL, Ill. -- Illinois State has its first regular season national ranking in three years and is off to a 3-1 start.
Brock Spack is keeping cool. He hopes his team is, too.
"I think we have to guard against this idea that now all of a sudden we've arrived. Because that's not the case," said ISU's head coach. "We're way far away from where we need to be to be a championship caliber team in this conference. We have a really tough opponent this week."
No. 19 ISU takes on Missouri Valley Football Conference favorite Southern Illinois Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hancock Stadium.
