On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!

PEORIA -- On your mark...get set...go! That's what hundreds heard Monday morning in downtown Peoria. They were taking off in the 2nd annual Operation Santa Race.Military members were on hand to help get everybody started. People had the option of running 4 miles around O'Brien Field or walking 1 mile. Even Congressman Aaron Schock laced up. Participants say despite the wet weather, they were eager to start Memorial Day on the right foot.
Wesley Schrader says, "It kind of brings you together as a group, and as a Jr. Navy Seals program it's good for team building and also physical fitness."
Proceeds from the race will go towards sending 35,000 stockings to troops overseas this Christmas.
