A Chillicothe man was sentenced Monday to five years in prison for communicating with a witness in a theft case. 37 year old Shane Ing pleaded guilty to threatening a former employee of a sports calendar business who had been working with authorities in the case against the owners, Matthew and Toscha Simmons. Ings codefendant, 23 year old Ashley Miller of Pekin has already been sentenced for her role in the crime. The owners of the sports calendar business, Matthew and Toscha Simmons are facing a seven count indictment. Prosecutors claim the couple sold ads in calendars and maps but, in many cases, didnt deliver the product.
